This just in: Neil Patrick Harris, star of the CBS comedy series “How I Met Your Mother,” will host the 10th annual Pageant of the Masters gala benefit on Saturday, Aug. 23.
Harris, a stage, film and TV actor, recently appeared as himself in “Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.” He is perhaps best known for his starring role in the TV series “Doogie Howser, M.D.”
Harris will join a slew of other celebrities for the annual black-tie affair, which benefits the Festival of Arts Building Fund.
Tickets for the gala are $50-$350. The higher price includes a sit-down dinner at Tivoli Terrace.
For more information, call 949-494-1145 or visit the festival Web site.
Incidentally, the Festival of Arts starts Sunday (7/06) in Laguna Beach and the pageant starts July 9. Check the OC Register arts page and the A&E section of the Sunday newspaper for more details.
