 “Spring Awakening,” the hit Duncan Sheik-Steven Sater musical about lusty teens, will kick off its national tour tonight at San Diego’s Balboa Theatre. The show will travel later this year to the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, but it isn’t making it to O.C. So take your pick, fans — south to S.D. now or north to L.A. later?

Two stars of the Broadway production, Kyle Riabko and Blake Bashoff, will headline the touring version.
