‘Night in Fullerton’ seeking artists

October 6th, 2008, 3:19 pm · Post a Comment · posted by Richard Chang

Artists from all disciplines are invited to participate in the 44th annual “A Night in Fullerton” cultural arts festival.

The program, which will occur 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, is the city’s annual celebration of the arts. It has been moved from the last Friday of April to early November.

This year, displays by artists will be featured in the Downtown Plaza on Wilshire Avenue, east of Harbor Boulevard. A citizens’ arts committee is seeking both visual and performing artists, including theater and dance groups, sculptors, ceramicists, and other visual artists.

Ashley Glass, special events coordinator for the city, said the committee would especially like to highlight artists who can demonstrate their work throughout the evening. Artists will be able to sell their work as well.

Artists interested in participating in “A Night in Fullerton” must complete an application form, which can be obtained by visiting the Fullerton Museum Center, 301 N. Pomona Ave., or by calling the center at 714-738-6545.

Display booths will be free for nonprofit artists. For-profit art vendors will be charged $35 per booth, and the fee for commercial vendors will be $125 per booth.

The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15.

For more information, call Glass ast 714-738-3338.
