Gregorio Luke, the dynamic former director of the Museum of Latin American Art, will present a lecture series at the Yost Theatre in Santa Ana. Engagement dates are Oct. 25, Nov. 22 and Dec. 6.

An expert on Mexican and Latin American art and culture, Luke is now a part-time curator for the Latino Museum of History, Art and Culture in downtown Los Angeles.

On Oct. 25 at 3 p.m. (Spanish) and 8 p.m. (English), Luke will speak about the life and history of Argentine revolutionary Che Guevara.

On Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. (Spanish) and 8 p.m. (English), Luke will discuss the life and art of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

Finally, on Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. (Spanish) and 8 p.m. (English), Luke will deliver a lecture on Mexican muralist David Alfaro Siqueiros.

Tickets are $5 for the Spanish matinee, and $20 for the English lecture ($10 for students). They can be purchased at Calacas Inc., 3374 S. Bristol St., Santa Ana and Martinez Bookstore, 1110 N. Main St., Santa Ana.

If you’ve ever seen Luke give one of his nighttime mural lectures at the Museum of Latin American Art, you know he puts on an educational and entertaining show.

The Yost Theatre is at 307 N. Spurgeon St. in Santa Ana. For more information, visit www.gregorioluke.com.
