Tickets on sale today for Newport film fest

Tickets for the 10th annual Newport Beach Film Festival go on sale today!

You can buy them by going to the festival’s Web site, www.NewportBeachFilmFest.com. You can also call 949-253-2880.

The festival will run April 23-30. The opening film, April 23, will be “Lymelife,” starring Alec Baldwin, Kiernan and Rory Culkin, Jill Hennessy, Timothy Hutton, Cynthia Nixon and Emma Roberts.

The closing movie, April 30, will be “(500) Days of Summer,” starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel.

    That should be pretty interesting, I think I might try to go this year because last time I could not make it. Both opening and closing films really caught my attention. I’ll see which day I go because you never know what’s better opening or closing night!

    I never knew Newport had a film festival. Its always good to see up and coming actors, well as veterans who explore new things by working with different producers.

    I was aware of the Palm Springs International film festival. Will the films be local?
