Broadway to honor Bea Arthur

Broadway’s theaters will dim their lights tonight at 8 p.m. for Beatrice Arthur. The Tony-winning actress, best known to those outside New York for her high-profile TV comedy career, died earlier this week at 86.

Arthur won two Emmy Awards, one for her work in “Maude,” the other for her stint in “Golden Girls.” Read about her long career here.
