Conductor Ami Porat leads Orange County’s Mozart Classical Orchestra, a group that specializes in the music of Wolfgang and his lesser known friends, into its 25th season. I spoke with him the other day about his plans for the season, his unusual programming, and the challenges a small ensemble such as his faces in the down economy.
