Richard Chang - Visual Art

Richard Chang has been arts writer at The Orange County Register since February 2000. He specializes in visual art, but also covers general arts and entertainment subjects, such as movies and film festivals, the Orange County Performing Arts Center, and annoying yet strangely addictive O.C.-based reality TV shows.

Richard’s favorite artists are Paul Cézanne, Wassily Kandinsky, Joan Miró, Georgia O’Keeffe, Theresa Hak Kyung Cha, Robert Rauschenberg and Andy Warhol.

He has held arts writing jobs in Santa Fe, N.M., and Bakersfield, and currently contributes to ARTnews magazine. He has an orange cat named Taeja, who turns 16 years old this year.
